Pagpapalalim ng Pag-unawa at Pagpapaunlad ng Kakayanan ng mga Kababaihang Ayta Abellen sa Sama-samang Pamumuno
Last May 28-29, 2018, WLB and Kababaihang Samahan ng Maporac (KASAMA) conducted a capacity building workshop with the Ayta Abellen women from four villages (sitio) in the municipality of Cabangan, province of Zambales.
The workshop focused on assessing the strengths and capacities of the women in terms of organizing alongside the barriers they face as women and as an indigenous community. Moreover, the activity explored the potentials of the women to become leaders beyond their organization – and eventually take on leadership roles in both the private and public sphere – towards improving Ayta Abellen women’s access to justice and social services.
